Do you have an upcoming mini photo shoot with me? Here are a few tips to make the most of your Seattle family mini session:
1. Arrive Early to Your Seattle Mini Photo Session
Be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early. This helps with time in getting in and out of the car, last minute face checks/wipes for littles, and just less stress all around with not being hurried! Being early will also ensure you can find the location, parking lot and photographer (that’s me!) in time. With mini sessions, you want to begin right at your start time, since time is limited.
2. Feed Littles Before the Mini Session
If you have littles (small kiddos and babies), make sure they are fed. You can even bring some non-messy snacks, if that helps. This keeps kids happy and in good moods! We all know that a hangry baby or toddler is not so excited to get photos taken.
3. Pick Out Your Outfits Before the Day of the Shoot
Again, less stress. Now you know if you need to do laundry, iron a shirt, or purchase an additional clothing item that you thought you already had. Bonus tip: lay out all the outfits together to see if they coordinate well. (Not too matchy-matchy, but coordinating.)
4. Finally, Relax!
Breath deep. Inhale, exhale. Don’t worry, I’ve got you! I’ll do my best to get your kiddos (or big kidddos) to give me some genuine and authentic smiles. And if not, that’s okay too! I can get some great shots of family connection. I promise!
As always, please reach out with any questions/concerns. If you want help with outfits, I’m happy to give suggestions. I’m looking forward to capturing your amazing family!
