So you never forget the way you felt on one of the best days of your life.
Hi! I'm Becky Langseth —
Award-winning photographer.
Certified Doula. Calm energy.

"I will
TREASURE THESE MEMORIES
FOREVER
and I'm so grateful to Becky for capturing them so authentically and beautifully."
The day your child is born is extraordinary
I get it.
You can't explain it...
Except that your heart explodes, and you didn't even realize just how much your heart could expand.
That's why I became a birth photographer. To capture this experience for you, so you can return to it — and remember exactly how it felt.
The moment you met your child.
Every birth is unique and beautiful. Every family has a story to tell, and I love being the person to document it.
Whether it be a hospital birth, a home birth or at a birth center, I understand the value of having every detail professionally photographed so you can remember and process all the events of what’s special about your baby's birth.
And don't worry, I make sure you look amazing in your birth photos, capturing the emotions, story, and all the details!

And I’ve probably been to the hospital or birth center where you plan to give birth!
Every year, I continue to enter birth photography competitions (both international & national), because I believe it encourages me to continue to improve my skills and to think outside of the box as an artist.
So you can have peace of mind. BTW, you can also hire me as your doula too!
• Calm, grounded presence in powerful moments You'll never feel like you're managing another person in the room — I move quietly, read the energy, and disappear into the background when you need me to.
• Empathetic and introvert-friendly Even if the idea of a "stranger" at your birth feels uncomfortable, you won't feel that way with me there.
• Respectful of every birth plan Whether you're planning an unmedicated home birth or a scheduled C-section, your experience is honored exactly as it unfolds.
Every package. Every birth.
• Intentionally crafted, hand-edited birth imagery Every photo feels like art — not a snapshot — and reflects the real emotion and beauty of your birth story.
• Comfortable in all lighting environments A dim hospital room, a candlelit birth center, your own home — your images are never compromised by the setting.
• Award-winning photography I believe that every gallery includes at least one award winning image. And every year, I continue to enter photo competitions (both local and international) to continue to grow as an artist!
• On-call commitment around your due date When labor starts — at 2am, on a weekend, earlier than expected — I'm ready and I show up.
• Direct access and full support from me You're never left waiting days for a response. Have a question or concern? You have my number. In fact, I put your number on emergency bypass, so your call will come through, even when my phone is on do not disturb mode.
• 5–10 sneak peeks delivered in 24–48 hours So you can share the news with friends and family — before you've even left the hospital.
• Your complete gallery of birth photos, yours to keep forever You — and someday your child — can return to this day for the rest of your lives.
• Custom packing checklists for home, hospitals, or birth centers One less thing to worry about in the whirlwind of getting ready.
I was reluctant to have a “stranger” join us for such an intimate experience. Since my wife really wanted to have birth photography, I agreed to at least have a consult with Becky. After meeting with Becky I was onboard with hiring her and was looking forward to having these once in a lifetime, priceless memories for our family and future generations to share.
When Becky said how great would it be to have photos of your grandparents and your parents being born, something that no one really has, that’s what sold me on birth photography, being able to share these photos with our son and then when he has a family he’ll be able to show them his birth and the emotional reactions of their grandparents for generations to come. The photos are very tasteful and capture the entire birth journey/story. Couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Becky and have birth photos.

“I’m worried I’ll look terrible in the photos.” You might not look “put together.” But you WILL look powerful. Birth isn’t a photo shoot — it’s one of the most raw, real things a human body does. The images I capture aren’t about your hair or your makeup. They’re about the look on your face when you hear your baby cry for the first time. That expression? Stunning every single time.
“My partner can just take photos on their phone.” They can — but they’ll also be holding your hand, whispering encouragement, and fully present
with you. You don’t want them stepping back to fumble with a phone during the moments that
matter most. Hiring me means your partner gets to be there with you, fully, while someone else
captures it with them included.
“This feels like the lowest priority with everything else we’re spending.” It probably feels that way now. But birth photos are the one thing from that day you’ll actually keep. The onesie gets outgrown. The nursery gets redecorated. These images get more valuable with time — not less. I've never heard anyone say that they regret hiring a birth photographer. But I have heard MANY people say that they regret not hiring one.
Yeah, but...
“I’m scared the photos will be too graphic or gory.” I photograph feeling, not procedure. My images focus on faces, hands, the first moments of
contact — not clinical detail. You’ll see emotion, connection, and beauty. And I only take the photos of your birth story that you want me to.
“I don’t want a stranger in the room during such a private moment.” This is the concern I hear most, and it makes complete sense. What I can tell you is that we get to know each other during your consultation(s). Just think of me as a part of your birth team along with the nurses, midwives, birth assistants or family members. I am good at reading the room, so if you need some space, I give you privacy. I’m not there to direct you, interrupt you, or make the room feel crowded. I move quietly, stay out of the way, and follow your lead entirely.
“What if you don’t make it in time?” I stay on-call for your entire due window and I’m reachable 24/7. The moment you think labor is starting, you text me — even if you’re not sure. I would rather have a false alarm than miss a single moment. And if I have an emergency or get sick, I send a trusted backup.

It's like your wedding film, but birth style.
And don't worry, this is not another ho-hum birth film set to music...
After all, don't you want to hear your baby's first cry again? Maybe you want to remember what you said or what your partner said when your first embraced your child?
I get really excited when I get to include special things in your birth film, like interviewing your beforehand, or a chance to get you talking during a lull in your birth...inevitably, you end up narrating your own story!
Birth films typically end up being 5-8 minutes, depending on your birth. Inquire to see more birth film examples or click below!
Photos help you to remember moments, but films let you relive them.
I intentionally record audio when I'm filming.
Do I have to allow you to post my birth images on social media?
Absolutely not! These images are for you! They are memories of a moment in time when you welcomed your little one into the world.
When do you go on-call?
I officially go on-call at 38 weeks, but if you were to go into labor before that, I will do everything I can to be there!
What if you miss a birth, get sick, or have an emergency?
Birth photographers work with a trusted backup. If I was sick or had an emergency, I'd call my backup to attend the birth.
When should I book you?
I recommend booking me as early as you feel comfortable because I do limit the number of births per month I take on. (2-3 per month)
What if baby comes fast?
Good communication is key! Contacting me at the first signs of labor helps us to determine when I should come to your birth space.
How many images do you deliver?
I deliver 100-150 images, but that may vary depending on the length of your birth and the package you select.
How long will you be at my birth?
I typically arrive during active labor (5-6cm or whenever you can no longer walk/talk through your contractions) and stay 2 hours after baby has arrived!
Why would I want somebody in the room I don't know?
We will get to know each other during your consultation(s). Just think of me as a part of your birth team along with the nurses, midwives, birth assistants or family members. I am good at reading the room, so if you and your partner need some privacy, I leave the room for a while to give you space.
So...I don't know if I want "that" shot.
When most people think of birth photography, they think of the crowning shot. Think about a wedding. When the officiant announces the official married pair, everyone thinks of the kiss. But there's so much more than that!
At our consultation, we will go over the shots that you absolutely want and the ones that you don't. In fact, most of my clients don't want the crowning shot.
During your delivery, most likely I will be at your shoulders getting the first looks of baby as your provider hands them to you! Rest assured...no images will be shared unless I have your permission.
Are you a birth doula?
Yes, I am! I'm a certified doula, and I offer doula services + photos as a few of my birth packages. Honestly, sometimes just knowing I'm a doula can offer peace of mind. You can learn more about my doula services here: Doula + Photography Services
