I see you...
Meal planning, diaper changing, kid chauffeuring, all while scheduling your own doctor, hair and kid dentist appointments...fitting it all in to your busy schedule!
On top of this you do a quick google search to find a photographer.
Do you ever want someone else to just take over so you can relax and enjoy your babies, instead of being the one trying to organize the picture-taking? That's where I come in!
I serve Seattle (and the greater Puget Sound area) parents who want beautiful images of their families as they change and grow. I make sure you look beautiful while enticing (okay, maybe bribing) older sibling to cooperate for photos. I listen to you, and hear your specific concerns about family photos.
...and I know how fast they grow and change. That's why I became interested in photography. I wanted to capture the big and small moments. The messy, real, raw, yet beautiful moments and freeze them in time so I could remember them forever.
And that's exactly what I want to do for you too! I want to capture your stage in life, exactly as it is right now! Freeze time, for just a moment, so you can remember all the good, even during all those hard days.
Your family is beautiful. And even though it's sometimes hard to see it in the day to day, it's important to capture it. Photos are a gift. They are a gift not only now, but also (and maybe even more importantly) a gift to ourselves in 5, 10, 15+ years as well as a gift to generations to come.
I understand how you crave beautiful images of your babies so you never forget any detail about the day they were born, or how perfectly tiny they were in those first days of life.
I sprinkle in my #birthninja skills so you don't miss out on experiencing these moments because you're too busy trying to take a photo. I even wear all black to fit the part!
When I gave birth, I hired a birth photographer, and I'm so glad I did! I'll cherish those photos forever. Seriously. Every time I look at my birth photos, I gasp with amazement as the memories flood my mind.
It breaks my heart when families don't choose birth photography due to misinformation, cost or general overwhelm doing "all the things" to prep for baby!
So, now I offer birth photography for people who cherish their family and want to capture every detail.
My approach to photography is very laid-back and natural. While we will get a few formal family photos, I also want to focus on the essence of your family. I will position you at a proper light situation, and prompt and suggest you to do activities, to play, to hug, to talk, to joke, to chase, to tickle... You will be you, and I will be there to capture all the magic. The joy, the connection, the love, and even a bit of the chaos! I want to show you the real, honest, imperfectly perfect moments which you will cherish the most years from now.
I take bookings for outdoor and in-home maternity, newborn and family sessions. And of course, documentary birth photography!
Every year, I donate 10% of my business net profit to nonprofit, chartable organizations. This year, I was able to donate to MamaBaby Haiti and BSF International.
When it's not "busy season" I also love to do occasional pro bono photography work for my community. This past year I have donated my time and photography skills to PEPS, a few local elementary schools, as well as branding photos & headshots for some fellow birth workers!
I'm also a volunteer photographer for Soulumination, a nonprofit Seattle-based organization that serves families with children 18 and under who are currently facing a life-threatening condition OR children 18 and under with a parent currently facing a life-threatening condition.

Every time I look at my birth photos, my eyes well up with tears as the memories flood my mind!
Confession: my husband wasn't on board with getting a birth photographer at first, but he did have a change of heart. When I became pregnant with my second child, my husband just assumed we were hiring a birth photographer again! (and he appreciated the photos / memories / experience)
